Appropriate repairable equipment has dramatically improved my quality of life. None of the rest of life's problems seem all that problematic now because I'm actually capable of addressing them. I had never known this level of general comfort before. Not living in constant fear of equipment breakdown, and that unnecessary mandatory stationary life, for long periods has really done a ton for my overall stability and mental health. Last year someone swapped my wheels and didn't tighten the lug nuts well. The drive wheel fell off as I was entering the kitchen. The chair didn't tip and I had the other prototype. It was an extreme realization that all the anxiety and anger that had always accompanied similar situations just wasn't there. Not just for me, but those around me as well. With all that weight off my life even severe fracture incidents are wayyy easier on my mental health.
